It was a great race. I got a fantastic car from K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizards Motorsports and I am really happy and thankful for the whole team and the engineers, who worked hard for that in. It was just the perfect race, I got a good start had the place on the right side to overtake the Cadillac and the other cars and then I got a big lead. Unfortunately the safety car came out, but we had a strong enough car to pull a big gap after the safety car was gone. I’m just really happy and I hope there are going to be some more races like this during the season.

Another tough race today. We got off the line well and we didn’t have any issues getting through the first lap. There were cars going everywhere being that far back in the field and there’s not a lot you can do except hold tight until everything smooth’s out. I think that within five or six laps there we worked our way up to 10th place. The car was strong and really good in the rain, I felt I had no issues making a run for the front of the field. Unfortunately a late call on a penalty put us all the way back to the end of the field again. Another charge back up and this time everything spread out a little more and was not as easy. We are happy to be in the Top-10 at the end of the race and I’m really happy for my teammate Kevin and I’m happy for everyone on the team, McLaren, K-PAX, and Flying Lizards for putting such a strong effort into the race weekend.

It was obviously a phenomenal drive by Kevin. He took the lead on the first lap and never looked back and pulled away. Robert also had a great run going, but unfortunately had an issue and had to do a drive through penalty in the pits, but he was very quick as well. I can’t say enough for the joining of Flying Lizards and K-PAX and what this means to us for our first race weekend together. With the depth of the field and the drivers and the teams it’s not easy to get a win and you also have to look at the conditions too. We are more than happy with our performance this weekend and we are looking forward to the rest of the year and the Lizards are back!

Great start to our campaign for sure, and this puts us in an excellent position in the points. Two second places, you can’t argue with podium results. It’s great to be back with EFFORT Racing and in the Porsche 911 GT3R. I think we definitely made good gains after Race 1, and I think what also helped was it was in the rain. I feel like we are the best in the rest. I felt pretty comfortable in second. All credit to Pirelli World Challenge for not throwing any yellows when there were a couple of guys spinning off. It was a great race and hopefully a couple of races that everyone enjoyed, and excellent points for both myself and Michael. I’m looking forward to St. Petesberg where it should go pretty well.

A big thanks to the team for setting me up with a pretty solid car in the rain. It was a really hard fight with some of those AM guys and pro guys out there. We eventually got into the lead at the end with a good fight with Perez down the back straight. It was really fun to race with the pro guys who were around P8 and P9. I almost got into P8, it was another good fight with a Ferrari but couldn’t make it pass stick. We brought home a ninth overall and again I am so happy to get a double win in the am class and to represent EFFORT Racing and Porsche Motorsports North America.
