Pfaff Automotive Partners Joins K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizard Motorsports for Canadian Speedfest
Following a successful 1-2 finish the Pirelli World Challenge at Barber Motorsports Park, K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizard Motorsports is excited to announce a partnership with Pfaff Automotive Partners and McLaren Toronto for next week’s Victoria Day Speedfest Weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park.
Pirelli World Challenge, one of the top production-car based racing series, hosts 20 Rounds in 11 events for automotive manufacturers to prove their products across North America. The 50 minute races allow for race teams to have pit-stop free, non-stop racing action on some of the best road and street courses motorsport has to offer. With two race wins and an additional two podiums, K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizard Motorsports sits third in the driver championship and McLaren third in the manufacturer championship. To date, the team holds the only wins worldwide for the McLaren 650S GT3.
Before kicking off the race weekend festivities, on Tuesday, May 12, McLaren Toronto will host K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizards Motorsports for a reception open to the public and any media. From 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The #6 and #9 race cars will be on display at the McLaren Toronto dealership at 33 Auto Park Circle in Woodbridge, Ontario, with team representatives available to answer questions and distribute free posters and autograph cards.
The importer for McLaren vehicles into Canada, Pfaff Automotive Partners and McLaren Toronto will proudly sponsor the #6 and #9 McLaren 650S GT3s for the race event, as the team looks to battle for valuable championship points. As a special treat for sports car fans at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park, Pfaff Automotive Partners will bring a McLaren P1 car to put on display at the team garage.
“Pfaff has always called the race track home,” said Christopher Pfaff, President and CEO of Pfaff Automotive Partners. “From the Rothmans/Porsche Challenge in the 1980s, through to numerous endurance racing efforts, the Canadian Touring Car Championship, the Ultra 94 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge by Michelin, and now, in partnership with K-PAX Racing with Flying Lizard Motorsports in the Pirelli World Challenge, Racing has been the ultimate manifestation of our competitive spirit.”
“We are really excited for the opportunity to partner with Pfaff Automotive and McLaren Toronto for this upcoming event,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “They are such a great organization and the joining of KPAX Racing with Flying Lizard is the coming together of three great brands. Canadian Tire Motorsport Park provides a venue that has a lot of fan support and this gives a good outlet for brand exposure and customer relations. We are confident coming into this weekend after our win at Barber Motorsports Park, we know the track and feel it will suit our cars well and look forward to another great weekend.”
