ELKHART LAKE, Wis., (July 29, 2022) — Set to begin a three-week stretch at Road America, Flying Lizard Motorsports heads to Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin for this weekend’s Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama. Now in the second half of the 2022 race season, five Flying Lizard Porsches will race in a pair of doubleheaders in the GT4 and GT3 classes.

“Our Porsche Sprint Challenge program has had a strong run so far this season,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “We have a great lineup of drivers, and we’ve had a blast as the Lizards have earned 22 top-five finishes, 16 podiums, and seven wins. We’re looking forward to this weekend of racing at Road America, as well as competing here for the next two weeks with our professional racing programs!”

Paul Camusi (No. 71 Cayman) Mike Gaulke (No. 90 Cayman) and Paul Bonderson (No. 42 Cayman) compete in the GT4 class. Camusi is returning for his first race event since Laguna Seca Weather Tech Raceway earlier this year, currently holding two podiums this season. Gaulke enters his eighth event of the season, having scored four wins to date this year. His strongest weekend of the season came at Sonoma Raceway, the home track for Flying Lizard Motorsports. He swept both races, winning his first pair of back-to-back wins. With two top-five finishes and one podium under his belt, Paul Bonderson will be eager to fight to get his Porsche to the front of the field, proudly sporting the traditional Flying Lizard red and silver livery.

In GT3, Chris Bellomo (No. 68 GT3 992) and Paul Nemschoff (No. 41 GT3 991) continue their full-season efforts at the fan-favorite road course. Bellomo has acquired two wins and three additional podiums this season, while Nemschoff has racked up one win and two podiums in his partial-season effort.

This weekend, the Lizards will compete on the 4.048-mile, 14-turn road course, nestled in the hills of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, located 60 miles north of Milwaukee. Following the Porsche Sprint Challenge weekend, the team’s Lamborghini Super Trofeo effort will compete in their next double header event in support of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (August 5-7). The team’s SRO America Aston Martin racing program will close out the team’s Road America streak, contesting in the next rounds of the GT America Powered by AWS and Pirelli GT4 America (August 19-21).

This weekend’s racing will consist of testing on Thursday and Friday, July 28-29, followed by qualifying and racing on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31. All four races can be viewed live on porschesprint.com/race-control.
